This is an amazing song! Really!
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
~1 Timothy 2:1-4 (ESV)
Jesus: “I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. ~John 14:6 (ESV)
He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ concerning you.
~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV)
Father help me to fulfill it in a beautiful way.

Understand that an addict is dependent upon a substance/experience to help maintain a specific feeling (of pleasure, security, comfort, control, numbness etc). The addiction is primarily to the feeling which helps the individual to avoid dealing with some unpleasant aspect of reality.
Of course, there are well-known, highly destructive means which tend to be more effective at producing quick and consistent results.
But it’s entirely possible to become a socially approved addict who is regularly encouraged by family and friends to remain a prisoner to one’s “drug” of choice. No one offers help, because no one considers the dependency to be harmful.
Just a thought.
